Socket Errors


Windows socket or Winsock errors occur when the SMTP server refuses to or is unable to create a "socket" connection with the Windows Operating system (TCP/IP software) on your PC. Typically socket errors occur randomly which is why you may see a difference between the way it works on one computer verses another and why oftentimes the problem goes away after rebooting. Winsock errors are typically due to mainly two issues, either conflicting software or a bad network card or driver. Here is a list of the most common socket errors.
